Filter caches excluding mine

We regularly get the question if it is possible to make a filter that excludes owned caches. At first sight this might seem impossible, but it is possible.

In the Filter dialog you can add so called compound filters. You can nest other filters in such a compound filter row.

  • Hold the option key (also called alt key) while clicking on a + sign to add such a compound filter.
  • Choose the ‘None of the following’ filter from the list
  • Nest the filter that you want to invert inside, in this example ‘Owner begins with yourName’

Et voila, you filtered the caches not owned by you. Of course you can use this construction for other filters you want to invert. There are also compound filters for Any or All of the following.
